Onward does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. It has no servers of its own — everything below happens on your device or in your own private iCloud account.
All data you enter — your goals, habits, log entries, notes, moods, and settings — is stored locally on your device. Onward has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. Nothing you enter is sent to us or to anyone else.
Onward can sync your data across your own devices using iCloud. This data is stored in your private iCloud account and handled by Apple under Apple's terms. We never have access to it.
Onward can optionally read workout data (such as distance, duration, or active calories) from the Apple Health app, only when you explicitly choose to import a workout into a goal. This happens on-demand — Onward does not run in the background and does not continuously monitor your Health data. Health data is never transmitted anywhere; it is only read on your device to fill in a log entry you control.
Onward can schedule local reminders. These are created and delivered entirely on your device.
Because Onward has no servers, there is nothing for us to expose, correct, or delete remotely. Deleting the app removes its local data from your device; data synced to iCloud can be managed or deleted via your device's iCloud settings.
